Finding your DRIVE!

Finding your DRIVE is much the same as finding your WHY, your why being the reason you do what you do, your DRIVE being more of that internal pursuit that keeps you going and always pushing ahead.

It would be so easy to sit around and hang out on a beach all day. I did this for 6 months in 2005, and trust me, it's not all that it's cracked up to be. I know you're reading this thinking I'm crazy, right?... Well, as most of us come to realize at one point or another along the way, everything in life needs balance.

When I paint that picture of sitting in the sun all day doing nothing, sure, anyone would be all over that, but for those of us who prefer having a "job", a "purpose", something to do, it can be tough to just sit around - No matter how amazing the scenery.

While there is a small percentage of people who would be perfectly content to shut off and live a coconut milk, and sunburned lifestyle, others need to awaken that part of them that pushes them to pursue their life and business goals.

Ask yourself the following questions:

Who inspires you?

What excites you the most out of anything?

Where do you you see yourself 5 years from now?

When are you the happiest?

Why do you do what you do for a living?

How, ideally, would you like to be able to describe yourself to someone else?

Reflecting on the answers of the questions above, you may begin to envision a different direction of goals and begin to create a mental list of reasons to work towards something you feel passionate about.

You may feel like you have a lack of ambition or motivation towards a particular thing, but, if you are mindful of where you are happiest putting your most attention, you may discover exactly where your drive stems from and it might not be the very thing you have spent all your energy on.

Life is a short journey and finding the right path is only part of the ride, so shift into gear let your inner compass guide you, and find your DRIVE!
