End of Day Wind Down

After a full, productive day of work, depending on what you do for a living, winding down can be a challenge. For me, there is always something that needs to be done, or something I need to prep myself for for the following day. Turning off and winding down at the end of the day can become a difficult task, but it is so important to do to reset and refocus your attention properly for the next day. Not only that, but creating an end of day ritual that helps you put the work aside and direct your energy elsewhere for a few hours will help alleviate unnecessary stress and help you to become more productive overall.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work that you might consider "relaxing?"
Recently I have been enjoying a great gym regime with a friend. We do about an hour work out followed by a steam, swim and sauna. We bring our sweats with us to change into after hitting the showers and we are all set to go home and settle into a relaxing evening. It really sets the wind down mood and I notice a much less restless sleep afterwards.
Taking time for you and not allowing your work to always loom over you, cause you undue stress and ultimately consume your every move is so vital to the longevity of your career and health.
So try and make a conscience decision to try something new to calm your mind and wind you down at the end of a busy day. Your mind and body will thank you for it!
